Lorio Sisiolo

Family Support Centre (FSC), Solomon Islands

Lorio Sisiolo is the Centre Manager of the Family Support Centre (FSC) in the Solomon Islands, a role she held from 2006–2009 and again from 2019 to the present. She provides strategic leadership for survivor-centred services, community awareness initiatives, and national advocacy to end violence against women and girls.

Lorio previously worked with Save the Children Solomon Islands as Project Training Coordinator for the Children and Youth in Conflict with the Law (CYiCL) project, where she led the development of training materials and coordinated community training and awareness activities.

From 2012 to 2015, she served as General Secretary of the Solomon Islands National Council of Women, providing strategic leadership across key priority areas including violence against women and girls, women’s leadership, economic empowerment, and peacebuilding. Lorio has played an important role in strengthening the work of the nine Provincial Councils of Women and supporting Women’s Resource Centres as safe spaces for women.

With more than a decade of experience in women’s rights advocacy, Lorio continues to contribute to national and regional efforts to strengthen responses to and prevention of violence against women and girls across the Pacific.
